all still close in my heart each day, in my prayers. Thank you for your
latest posting. The end of it made me think of Thurman Adam's song
"Grand Design". You continue to offer encouragment to all of us out here
even though it should be the other way around. Your sharing is a gift to

I am so
sorry for your loss, I understand what you are going through right now.
After our son passed away, I remember wondering when life would get back
to "normal". God gently reminded me it would not--there was now a "new
normal". When you spend over a year immersed in the critical illness of
your child it is a difficult adjustment when that sweet child is gone. I
am praying for you and your family. God bless.

Jenny lost her daughter, Allie to AML. I was so saddened to see a link

that your family amazes me is an undestatement. I have been following
Ben's story for a few months and my heart goes out to you. Your post
today (3/16) really sums up what most of us fail to realize in our
lifetimes....live life to it's fullest. I vow to try my hardest to do
that each and every day while I remember Ben and all that he has taught

can only pray you guys never forget the memorys your son gave you. I
know your hearts are broken right now because our hearts are still
crying for Karley. Your son is a inspiration to all people who care for

Dear Tom,
Jennifer and Eli, You continue to be part of my prayers. You are so
right that long life does not mean a full life. Ben was brought here by
God to make people aware of how precious life is and how much we need to
cherish every moment. But I continue to be astounded at how much we have
learned from you, Jennifer and particularly Eli. His compassion in
caring for his brother is truly something that is far beyond his years.
I think God gave him a special gift that few will ever have. He quietly
went about his work of letting Ben's story do its work of making people
aware of the need to stop this horrible disease while giving his love
and support to his brother. God certainly had the right little man here
on earth to care for his little angel until it was time for Ben to go
home. I cannot express how much the total dedication you and Jennifer
