Dear
Bowen Family, Thank you for taking the time to share your story with
those of us you have never met. I’m truly so very sorry for your loss
and I will miss Ben very much too. We all know he is in a better place
where he knows no pain and can smile his beautiful smile down on all of
us. Ben is truly an angel and I’m so thankful to have had him touch my
life. I just keep reading his story and looking at the pictures you have
shared with us over and over again. It makes me happy to see that
beautiful smile. Your family has been such an inspiration to me and so
many others. You have changed my life for the better and I am forever
grateful for that. I will continue to pray for you as I have for Ben in
the past and it is comforting to know that now I can talk to Ben
whenever I want to. I have so much to say! His story will always
continue to touch the lives of the people who hear and read about it. I
will never forget Ben and he will always have a special place in my
heart as will each of you.

All
children who has won their battles have earned their much deserved
wings. Ben on the other hand is flying around with golden wings, ones
that he has truly deserved. For him to go through so much and still held
on to every moment with a smile(mabe not so much on the outside but on
the inside)knowing how much he was and still is loved. Tom, Jennifer,
and Eli all I can say is WOW you are truly amazing to not only go
through all you have endured but to take the time to continue to help
others and give them the encouragement that they need. You are the
living image of our Lord. Ben has won the ultimate reward. He will be
truly missed but always remembered. His story will stay alive. Mr. Eli
you are a brave young boy and I am sure Ben loves your balloons. He will
watch over you and help you, mommy, and daddy through the difficult
days.

message in the visitation program and in the update perfectly expressed
the wisdom that could only have come from the Father to help those close
to Ben to deal with this time until he welcomes us to Heaven. We

and now more than ever we will continue to honor Ben's legacy to support

I find
myself checking in on you guys as I have done faithfully for a year. My
heart breaks for your loss and the sweet boy that was taken all too
soon. For Eli who has had so much go on in such a short time. This no
child should endure. I continue to pray for healing for you all. That
you can make and have peace with the plan God had for Ben. And be
patient and watch his legacy blossom and bloom. I have read every
article on Ben’s story. I cannot help to be excited of all the good that

Hello
Bowens, As Karen and I were driving home yesterday we were talking about
what a beautiful service Ben had. And we started talking about Hanna
being there to greet Ben. And we got to laughing thinking and talking
about that about right now Hanna, Ben, Danny, Jacob and Abby are all up
there playing Candyland (with Hanna being Blue and being the boss of the
game, no doubt). And we couldn't help but smile and get tickled thinking
about them all sitting in a circle, dressed up like princesses (yes,
even the boys because Hanna said so) and her sitting by Ben showing him
everything. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of Ben's life and
for allowing me to be a friend to such great people. Look forward to
seeing you in Memphis.

Thinking
of you again today dear Bowens. Crying once again as I write this. I
have been working on a scrapbook for my little boy, Tanner. When he is
older I am going to give it to him along with a blue band that says "Big
Ben." The scrapbook is full of articles about Ben. I want Tanner to know
about the little boy that changed his life. The little boy that helped
Tanner's mommy to spend more time with him, to hug and kiss him more,
and to take time every day to tell him about God. It will be many years
before Tanner will understand the impact that Ben had on his life, but
one day he will understand that his life was better because of Ben
Bowen.
